What a shame you had a bad experience at Rainforest. We always go and like others try and time it when its not so busy. In May we came out of AK at about 3pm and only had to wait 5 mins for a table.
When we have been in August we have gone to DD at about 10 ish walked round the shops and then waited about 10mins for a table at about 12 noon.
It is very difficult to get these dining experiences right but do try again another time as it is such good fun.

We went there twice on our recent visit 3 weeks ago. We only waited about 15 minutes. The food was lovely and the service was even better. We loved the atmosphere and so returned after our first visit and enjoyed the second one too.
Well That's good news Adeline, I was seriously starting to question if it would be on our "trip" list in October. Especially as I spoke to a mum at swim club this morning (as you do) and they said they couldn't find any thing on the menu they would eat [:O]
To be fair, not all venues suit all visitors[msnsmile] So, I think we will go as usual[msnwink]
Blimey - they must be VERY fussy eaters as there is lots of choice on the menu and something to suit everyone. We're veggies and even then we have plenty of choice.

John, I think you know them well
Have to agree, I have always found the menu choice and quality excellent, in fact I go especially for some of their dishes
We went to the RC at Disneys Animal Kingdom and must admit that we had slow service and that we thought the food was over priced, just our opinion so please don't shoot us.[msnoo][msnsmile2]

Haven't tried the one at DD so can't compare, maybe because our kids were a bit older they weren't into the animals, lightning etc. I did enjoy that bit though.[msnwink]

We always eat at least once at RC during our visits to villa. Went about 3 weeks ago and like others we tend to go about 5pm before it gets busy, give our name at desk and then wander round shop until called . Never waited more than 20mins. Food was good and service excellent. Second visit, we arrived at lunch time and were given the choice of a 15 min wait or sit at the bar on the 'animal leg stools' straight away. We sat on the stools and had excellent service again. I must admit though we only go twice as we feel that their meals are over priced.
