Our son, who by the way did really badly in his mocks, phoned us at 2am (we were in San Francisco) to tell us his results. He started the conversation with "I am really shocked" which made both his Dad & I gasp! Luckily it was a good shocked, 1 A, 4 B's and 3 C's. Hooray! We are so proud of him, as he really knuckled down to do his actual exams.
Agree with your pressie after the exams idea Steph, that is what we did, we told him that whatever the results he couldn't have revised any harder. Made his day, as he didn't ever think he would do so well, will have to take him out to celebrate when we get home from Florida.[msnsmile2]

I had to get my daugher's results as she is in London for 2 weeks with the National Youth Theatre. Only nearly hit two cars on the way (my driving is usually OK). She worked extremely hard for her exams and got quite nervous about it all but she got 7 A*s 3A*s. SHe's going to do maths, economics, history and theatre studies for A level. The hard work will start again in Sept I'm sure.

Congrats to your daughter.
If your daughters interested my daughter has just asked me to put her power graphics calculator on Ebay which was recommended for A level (must be ok she got A's at A level in Maths and Further Maths), but now she's doing Law doesn't think she will ever use it again.
