Must admit Trina, we go for Tide to wash and have used the fabric softeners in the tumble(fine for our needs), though most of our Florida wear is shorts,t's and trainer socks so i operate a "Wash & Go" policy most of the time![]()

Hi Trina,
We usually use the fabric softner sheets in the tumble drier but our machine does have a fabric softner dispenser in the centre of the agitator post rather than in a drawer like at home.
It also has a dispenser for bleach although I have never used it. I thought that maybe laundry bleach was something like Ace liquid that we now get in the UK that is safe to use on colours.
I use Tide in Florida for nostalgic reasons , because my late Mother, always used Tide but its no longer available in Ireland. Also I find it very good after I run out of the ones Ive taken for home.

In our top loading machine in Florida you need to go back and add the softener during the wash cycle.
We use Tide too, the non bleach one for our son who suffers with sensitive skin.[msnsmile2]

I always use Downy liquid - it is gentle for babies etc - but the smell is gorgeous. Whenever we arrive home and open the suitcase of clean clothes, the smell of the liquid used in the USA hits you and takes you back to your holiday.
I have had clothes in a case for 6 months (different season) and when I open the case the whole family says it reminds them of Orlando!!

We usually use Tide but this time we were left some Sun liquid which has been fine. I'm never sure how much to use and have been putting 2 lid fulls in, how much does everyone else use?

You can get purex without bleaching agents now and we use Snuggle for fabric conditioner.

Does it not have a place at the top of the spinner for softener.....???
Most of the modern top loaders have instructions on where and when to put powder and softener printed on the lid! We use tide without bleach and never had a problem. Like downy tumble dryer sheets too! Wal-mart, Target, Publix etc sell all varieties no need to take washing powder with you![msnwink]
