Does anyone know if the shops in Miami are still reasonable cheap like Orlando, or is it normal prices.

I would be looking for designer labels - anyone know a good place to start looking

There are several malls dotted around Miami the most up market being the Village of Merrick Park at Coral Gables, which comes complete with Tiffanys and compares to Mall of Millenia. One of my favourites is out at South Kendall called the Falls. This is open air with covered walkways and beautiful waterfalls running through the middle this is anchored by Bloomingdales and Macy's.

A few years back I spent some time working between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. There is a HUGE discount mall called Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise (near fort Lauderdale). From memory its about 45 mins to an hour from Miami up I95 then west on I595.
