we spent an hour exploring the lakes around celebration, most of that was admiring the homes Val mentioned. We all enjoyed spotting the local wildlife too, as kevin says , we only spotted one gator though but plenty of turtles.
Well worth a visit, take a towel and a change of clothes for the kids 'cos they will end up in the foutain.

Round the back of the main lake you can often see small wildlife. We have been within a couple of feet of two baby armadillos foraging for food, and have seen turtles and small alligators basking there in the sunshine. The complete circuit of the main lake takes about 10 to 15 minutes, walking at a fairly leisurely pace. There are benches to sit round the back of the lake.

And WHERE may I ask is the MUMMY alligator? Gulp![msneek]

She'd gone to Gatorland for the day and left the kids home alone!

    Couple more photos of lake.

There is quite a lot of parking spaces. Make sure you park in the same direction as the traffic, a friend of ours got a ticket when they saw a space and crossed the road to park.

Fatal error this year going to Celebration - our first real look around. There is a Teddy Bear shop there cosy me almost $100.

In my opinion no visit to Orlando is complete without a visit to Celebration and a stroll around the lake ,only 10 months to go . [msnsmile2][msnsmile2]

A walk around the lakes at Celebration is always on our must do list along with coffee from Barnies and Sunday Lunch at the Columbia (really nice Sangria). Only 3 weeks to go until we are there again [clap][clap][clap]

This place looks really nice, can anyone recommend a good place to eat breakfast there. We only have one night in Orlando before heading to the Gulf Coast, so we've decided this is a must see. Also can anyone give me 'simple' directions.
