We went to Chef Mickeys for Christmas and loved it. We arrived at 5pm and we must have been in the restaurant for at least 2 hours. We came out and they had Carol singers singing songs around the christmas tree and Santa was there too. Our kids loved every minute of it.
We were told the parks were very busy on Christmas Eve but the people who we spoke too, had a great time in the parks.

Hi we arrived late xmas eve last xmas so didn't have chance to do anything special then. However NYE we spent the day at Epcot. If was amazing, fantastic. It was v. busy but we expected that and planned the day accordingly. We did New Year in the UK section at 7.00 pm usa time - all singing and dancing etc. Then there were two lots of fireworks an earlier one and then an 'out of this world' session at midnight. The floor was shaking and the sky was lit up it was brilliant. If we are in Orlando again for New Year (fingers crossed) we would have to do Epcot again. Hope you have a great time.

We were at the UK 'market place' at 7pm too - wasn't it just a fantastic atmosphere! And the Beatles tribute band were brilliant too!
And you're right, Debbie - midnight was somethng never to forget!

Definitely a must for us next time we are there at New Year too!

We really enjoyed Christmas & New Year 2005/6 in Orlando. We have 2 teenagers so our choices were limited - too old for somplaces & not old enough for others!
On Christmas Eve we did a 'meal & a movie' at Universal City Walk. We saw King Kong and then had our meal at Hard Rock Cafe.
On New Years Eve we went to Celebration for the snow at 7pm, had a few drinks in the Market Square before going to Planet Hollywood where there was a terrific party atmosphere. From about 11.30pm the staff gave out party hats, blowers, streamers & champagne ready for the midnight countdown on the big screen live from Times Square. No cover charge for this just the usual menu at the usual prices. we left there just after midnight to catch the end of the firework display from next door at Pleasure Island.
On Christmas day we wanted to have a traditional dinner at home in our villa and invited some of our neighbours in for drinks in the evening!
We'll remember this holiday for some time to come, TERRIFIC!![clap]
