At least my oil share prices of gone up![]()
It was $1.92 a gallon back in March and the local news had Gas Price Watch thing on every day telling you where it was cheapest.
If the current price works out at 38p per litre then it is still as cheap as chips as even supermarket petrol prices in the UK where 92.9p per litre when i filled up at the weekend.
I fill up with petrol about twice a week thats approx 140 litres; the prices in the US are still cheap. [msnsmile2]
It is still cheap when compared to UK prices.
We paid about $40 to fill up a 7 seater. in Aug.
Following 'Hurricane Charlie' last August the fuel prices went up by 20 to 50cents overnight but within days there was no fuel left in Orlando. Those few gas stations who received deliveries were able to charge whatever they wanted to the hundreds of customers queueing for hours and filling whatever containers they could find.
Must remember to book a sensible, smallish for our Christmas holiday, we will surely be paying $3 per gallon by then![:O]

We filled up at Sams Club yesterday, a bit cheaper than elsewhere in the area by about 10c.[msnsmile]

i am listening to a radio station in Miami on the internet as i write this and they have just given gas prices. the most expensive price given was $3.10 a gallon and the cheapest they could find was $3.01. two reasons were given for the increase - number one was obviously Hurricane Katrina, but also because of Labor Day celebrations and people making more trips and causing a shortage of gas.
It $5 in some places in the US.....but in most places its up 70 cents......
Its now up to just under $4 here......
In NH, where I work, it was $2.59 on Tuesday evening; $2.75 Wednesday evening and $2.99-3.09 now.
