    weight watchers here i come

Two months till I go. I have heard alot about how good the food is out in Florida, so i would love to hear about some of the best places to eat whilst out there. I am interested in all types of restaurant (family friendly, buffet, shows etc) but as intend to put on approximatly four and a half stones in weight, I need to know where to find the best (and biggest) steaks and burgers.

    any ideas?[msnscared]

Recommendations will depend on your budget. Here are mine:

We always eat "economically" (so we can afford more than one trip a year to Orlando!!) and we love the buffets such as Ponderosa ($3.99 breakfast is good)and Sweet Tomatoes, which is a salad buffet (lunch/dinner about $8 ), makes a welcome break from steaks/burgers etc.

Also, Red Lobster which does a mean seafood platter for $19.99 and tons of other dishes.

We also like Chili's for burgers/nachos,tex mex, and Olive Garden for scrummy italiano.
There are also loads of eating places in WDW.

Other posters will fill you in on the more "up-market" places to eat, but it is possible to eat well at the places we go to.

    ENJOY!!

Hi Paddy - we can definitely recommend the steaks at JT's Family restaurant on the 192 (it's on the right-hand side if you head towards the turn-off for the US27). The Filet steaks are excellent!!

We also love JT's. We have been there every trip so far and never had a bad meal. We also like the buffet type places as the kids get to choose something a little different to burgers and fries. Lacey (2) is a very poor eater try almost anything but is full up with just one mouthful!! A buffet is ideal for her because she will look and choose what she fancies and ends up eating more which is always a bonus.

Sweet Tomatoes gets my vote -not entirely veggie-you won't get big steaks there-but if you do fancy some tasty soups, salads and pasta definitely the place to go.

Market Tavern in Celebration and Cafe D'Antonio's also very nice and the Boma Buffet at Animal Kingdom Lodge and any of the buffets at villa di flora at Gaylord Palms are both excellent for that little treat!
