We have been told senior citizens can get reduced priced meals in restaurants in Orlando. Is this correct and if so, what age is classed as 'senior citizen'.
Many thanks for your replies.

It varies from place to place but generally 55 and up qualifies you .If in doubt just ask .Enjoy your holiday.
There doesn't seem to be any consistency on this. The range seems to go from around 55 up to more or less any age.
The usual advice is to order from the 'senior' menu and see if they ask. In my experience they don't but that might be because I look so old!!
Alot of places seem to be 55+, my parents usually order from the seniors menu in restaurants and most but not all are 55+.[msnsmile2]

I've been to some places in Florida where 'senior' starts at 50! I've never been anywhere though that asks for an ID or proof of age.

Here is another tip, the Premium Outlets have "Senior Tuesdays" where you get an extra 10% off your purchases from most of the stores. I thnk you do have to show your passport though. You only have to be over 50 [msnsmile2]

It is usually 55 and in most restaurants they have a Senior Menus, though the portions do tend to be smaller, sometimes an advantage.....not that my husband would agree

55 for most of them. I think you even can get discount from airline if you over 55.
