As a rule of thumb, cheque what rate it is on ceefax and deduct around 6-9 pence, that should give you your rate. It is currently 1.84 on ceefax and is 1.76 in the shops.

The pond is staying strong carnt see it going down for a long time. Remember 2 years ago 2003 it was around 150s to 160s So no matter what its still good.

The Travelex internet rates look particularly good. I note that you order on-line and then collect from the airport on the date of departure. This fills me with a little trepidation - what happens if you turn up and the money is not there to collect? Has anyone used them for collection at the departure airport and did it all go ok?
