    Hi Paddy,

where to start ..... its well worth taking a night away and heading further south into the real Everglades or Miami or Ft Lauderdale, all different from Orlando. but hey half the fun is finding places

    Paddy,
Boggy Creek air boats and/or the boat tour around the lakes and very nice houses at Winter Gardens.

In addition to the theme parks you can drive to the beach -there are some beautiful ones on the Gulf coast , take a trip up the Crystal River , visit one of the many State parks around ,take a drive to Mount Dora and see a different area of Florida or maybe even drive to St Augustine the oldest place in Florida might be a bit too far though. There is also Kennedy Space Centre , Orlando Science museum which is great fun for everybody.Take a trip on a sea plane or try a horse back trek -all of these can be done without too much of a drive .There is so much more to Florida and Orlando tIhan the theme parks and if you look around it has something for everyone

We did this a couple of years ago and it was fantastic we saw lots of dolphins. You do get extremely wet though, especially if you sit in the back half of the boat. I would suggest wearing swimwear with shorts over the top or have a complete change of clothes in the car! Also dont forget to use plenty of sunscreen as you are out on the water for quiet a while.

We really ejoyed Gatorland in May. We love the shopping and the driving round.
I would love to go to Silver Springs so hoping to do that next time. We also like Crazy Golf. Space Centre is another place to go. There is just so much to do[msnsmile][msnsmile][msnsmile].
