    Disney VIP Tour

    Hi all

Have just had one of my colleagues asking me about something called a Disney VIP Tour.

Can anyone advise if there is such a thing - I think I read something a while back about tours that take you behind the scenes at Disney - is this what they may be meaning. And if so, can you get tickets for this from this website or is it something you would arrange once you get there.

    Thanks
    Ann-Marie

We did a behind the scenes tour back in March 03 at Magic Kingdom.

At that time there where 2 tours available, the Backstage magic Tour - this tour was to

"See how Disney "Magic" is made as you travel behind the scenes throughout the Walt Disney World resort. Descend beneath the Magic Kingdom to explore the utilidor system, observe Disney animation areas at MGM Studios, and investigate the computer-controlled system of Body Wars at Epcot during this 7 hour tour!" Offered Mon - Fri 9am to 4pm for ages 16 and over $199.

Or the Keys to the Kingdom Tour - "Unlock the Keys to the Magic Kingdom Park with this unique 4-5 hour tour that allows our guests to take a special look at the history, heritage and philosophies behind the park. Guests will hear intriguing stories of walt Disney and how his legacy is still alive in the dedication and talent of todays cast members. This informative expedition takes guests through the parks themed lands as well as backstage to marvel at the operation that makes the magic possible. Offered daily for ages 16 and older, price $58.00

We did the Keys to the Kingdome tour - booked when we got to the States. Lunch was included and we really enjoyed it - But I am very intrested in Walt Disney and this was something I really wanted to do. You get to find out lots of Disney "Secrets"!

There is also a company who do VIP tours. It is run by an ex employee who used to do the tours for Disney and now has a private firm. He has been doing this successfully for quite a few years now so must be quite popular. I am not sure if I can post his site and info on here so please DM me if you want more details.

We did the Backstage Magic Tour a few years ago. Absolutely fascinating. It lasts seven hours
during which you are fed at lunchtime in MGM Studios. We went round Epcot, MGM and Magic Kingdom
looking behind the scenes. You see underneath the Magic Kingdom with its maze of corridors and computer centre which also monitors the grand parades. You also get to see the cartoon studios and get shown how to draw basic cartoons. A really enjoyable day full of amazing revelations about the size and scale of the Disney operation. If they still do the Backstage Tour I can really recommend it. [msnsmile2]

Thanks Guys. These tours sound great and may be just what my colleague is looking for. I will definately be looking to do one myself next time I visit, that's for sure.

    Thanks again
