    Florida Weddings

    Hi,

Me & Jude got married at Cypress Gardens in January 2001 and my sister had her wedding at Magnolia Acres in October last year, so it's becoming a bit of a family tradition.

We've also seen weddings at sunset on Clearwater Beach.

Has anyone else got married in Florida? Where did you do the deed?

We got married in Port Charlotte at the local court. I think it cost us $105.00 all in! The notary at the court did the deed within twenty minutes of us arriving at the courthouse. The only wedding picture we have is of us in shorts and tee shirts, it was taken by a guy who had just been in to pay his traffic fines!

We got married at the Hard Rock Hotel in Orlando, almost 2 years ago.

The ceremony was performed in the gardens down by the river and our reception was held in one of the private function rooms of the Hard Rock Cafe which was full of Elvis things!

It was the most fantastic day EVER!!![clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap][clap]

This is us on our wedding day. What really made it for us was how friendly the locals were. Everyone who saw us made a beeline for us just to congratulate us.

    Hot air balloon, 1992.

Shorts, tee shirts and bow tie. That was my husband, of course.

Wedding breakfast in the hotel, day at Typhoon Lagoon, party in the evening at a villa, before we became an owners.

So casual, stress free, everyone had a great day without the stuffiness of a formal wedding. Would do it again that way in flash!

I know what you mean. It was so easy. Whole thing probably cost us less than £1000 including the stretch limo, the meal, photographer, etc. Didn't feel cheap though. Felt priceless.
