    TRAVEL INSURANCE

    Hi,

taking my 81 year old mum to Florida later this year, and although she is very hale and hearty she has 2 existing medical conditions for which we always need to get suplementary insurance at a very high cost(usually nearly £300 for 2 weeks).

Does anyone know of better deals for older people with pre-existing medical conditions please???

    thanks

I have a chronic medical condition and insure with M&S. They have a list and if that condition is on there it doesn't cost any more. With regards to your mum's age I'm not sure how much extra it would cost.Might be worth getting a quote from them.

My 79 year old Mum uses Saga, cost her about £100 for 2 weeks and she has got conditions which would kill a dinosaur in minutes. never had to claim on it though amazingly.

my parents got a good deal with atlas insurance. try them theyre great and cheap especially with those people over 70 and with medical conditions which my mum has. For the two of them it only cost less than £100.00 each and that was for three weeks.

try them its worth a try.
    regards rebekah and good luck

We also use Saga. My MIL is pushing 80 and has several medical conditions. I think the premium for her last year was £134.00 for three weeks.

My 83 year old mother currently has travel insurance with American Express (which has no upper age limit so they tell me) and the premium was £150 for an annual policy. She also had a few medical problems when I took out the cover for her.

Saga is supposed to insure older people. Or so my nan tells me!
