    Pool heating

I hope this isn't a stupid question but if a pool is described as being 'solar heated' does this mean there will be solar panels etc. harnessing the sun and heating the pool or does it mean no heating? Thanks.

    Kate,
it will be solar panels harnessing the sun and heating the pool. This method is very popular on the Gulf and the way we heat our pool. I was using the pool at Xmas with no problems although we do have a separate electric heater for the spa just to give it a boost.
If you are visitinng Orlando I am sure some owners will post about solar heating there.

Thanks Andrew. I'm looking for a villa on the Gulf Coast (near Bradenton) and there seem to be a lot with solar heating so I wanted to make sure that this didn't just mean heated by the sun shining on the pool during the day!
