I am out in florida when there is a Atlas V rocket launch. Does anyone know if there is as many people going out to see these as there is for a shuttle launch and where the best place is to see it.

I've been to see two shuttle launches and both times we had great views from Titusville which is right on the river overlooking the launchpads.
There were crowds there for that and it took 3 hours in traffic queues to get there-so do give yourself lots of time if you do go.

Rockets can be as popular as the shuttle. Give yourself plenty of time, and don't forget your camera!!

The shuttle will be very popular this time because it is the first launch since 2003.
As Ian and Sarah have said, Rocket launches can be just as popular.
Make sure you tune in to the Nasa Radio station for regular updates and news on the day of the launch.

We have seen both shuttle launches and rocket launches and always view from
Titusville.
Our son was at the shuttle launch yesterday with the children and as they had never seen a launch before they were amazed how brilliant a view they had and they were at Titusville.
