I got a mist pump in WalMart. Its like a bottle with a pump on top and there's a small hose attached to it.
Fill with water (add some ice[msnwink]), pump the top then just turn the valve on the hose and volare, instant cool mist.

hi have you thought of the new spray just recently been advertised on the tv its a spray which cools you down and the area you are in when the weather is hot. spray in car in a room and over you. cant think of name other than something called magic cool spray. Try that and most probably will sell in publix or walmart over in orlando. rebekah
we bought one of the fans with the spray bottle underneath it and that was lovely when you are really hot. We also freeze bottles of water the night before we go to the parks then take them in our bags. As they defrost you have ice cold water all day long!
It is being hot all the time which gets you down.Don't forget that everywhere is airconditioned so you are cool most of the time (most particularly you sleep well because your villa bedroom is not hot)We made the mistake of straying from villa accommodation last year and had individual units in our rooms. These were so noisy and rattly that if you turned them off off you could not sleep because of the heat and if you turned them on the noise kept you awake
Also,Florida is not dry and dusty like the med and there are lots of shady trees( A wet flannel round her neck may help too)
We took a friend in August who had found Majorca and the like intolerable. He was absolutely fine and was pleasantly surprised that if he did not actually sunbathe he did not get burnt either
Have a good time and I think you will find that said daughter is nagging to return as soon as you get back
Thanks all !!
Matt - how much do them fan things cost at Walmart?
Rebekah - we tried the magicool spray things but to be honest they only work for like a few second and at £5 a can I dont think they are worth the money! But thanks anyway.
Dear daughter will just have to live in the villa pool if nothing else works!![msntongue]

Curly Wurly,
The portable mist pump machine I think was around $15, not sure about the ones with the fan attached.
I didn't go for the fan one as it seemed a bit bulky, whereas the mist machine is just like a water bottle with a strap attached.

Keep her in the air-conditioned villa and she won't be able to say its too hot, I usually think its pretty chilly in our villa but thats because my hubby and my dad like it to be as coolas they can get it.[msnsmile2]
Sarah
It is freezing today in the south east;right now,too hot does not seem possible!
Spray fans are around $8 at Walmart,we used to supply them in our house, but had to replace them too often(got left in the parks,I guess!
I find the problem with the mist pump is that someone has to carry it[msnsad] and when I am that hot I cannot stand ro carry anything, I just walk from one air conditioned shop to another[msnsmile2] and of course if I see anything I want to buy, well I was only in the shop to keep cool, honest[msnwink][clap]
Lyn
You sound like my daughter,Lyn. We pay for theme park entry and she can't bear to miss a shop. You get past it though;now I only go shopping for essentials except for the villa, when like most owners I lose your senses and spend like it is monopoly money!
