    I Drive accommodation - 2/3 nights

We're planning on spending a few nights on International Drive at the start of our holiday to do a few of the parks there without having to drive. We will then move to a villa for 2 weeks. What accommodation would people recommend on I Drive? - there are 2 adults and 3 children and we want to do Sea World, WetnWild and maybe one of the Universal parks. Thanks.

    It depends on your Budget.

But given that you will only be staying for a few days and more than likely not spending too much time in the Hotel I would go for say the Quaility Inn or the Howard Johnson ( of which there are a few of each )

Otherwise try something like one of the "suite" Hotels rather the traditional Hotel Room - it maight give you more flexibility.

    Best of luck.

There are 6 of us, so we book adjoining rooms at the Rosen Plaza if we need to stay any odd nights. It's great for adults and kids as it has all the Bars, Restaurants & lovely pool. I can highly recommend the Sunday Brunch - lots of lovely fresh fruit, veg and seafood as well as your normal breakfast fayre.
You can get some good rates if you look at some of the hotel booking websites [msnsmile2]

If you are wanting to do the parks without driving and really do not want a villa, I would be looking at one of the hotels much nearer to Disney, either one of their own, or one of the properties with a free shuttle bus around the 192. International Drive is still a fair way away from Disney.

We have stayed in the enclave suites to the rear of Wet n' wild on a number of occasions , basic but clean you could request a suite which has 2 twins, a queen and a sleeper in the lounge. It also has a kitchen area. It is close to Univeral and you could get the trolly down to sea world.

We always stay at the Fairfield Inn's by Marriott, not the cheapest but certainly not the most expensive and a breakfast is always included in the price. There is one at the back of International Drive, so very convenient to catch buses to the parks.

The guys did say they were looking to do the parks in that area like WetnWild, Sea World and Universal so staying in a hotel in Disney would be no good to them, defeats the object of what they are trying to achieve.

We have stayed many, many times at the Quality Inn International, 7600 International drive.

This is one of the cheapest hotels on I-drive, but this is in no way reflected in the quality of the room.
You get all the usual, fridge, microwave, coffee pot, TV, oh and 2 beds .
Its right on the corner of I-drive and sand lake, dead easy to find.
You can come out of the hotel and stroll up and down I-drive very easily.

I'll post the link, i don't see why it should be removed as you have stated you want a hotel and not a villa to start with.

[website link edited - contains car rental links]

If its removed DM me and i'll send it.
