We use our driving licenses too. Haven't had a problem yet. A copy of your passsport is always a good idea to keep 'just in case' especially if you lose it.

slightly off topic. We have just had our passport photos take in one of theos Phot-Me booths (Waitrose) for renewal of passports.
Followed all the instructions etc.
Photos seem to be a bit 'light'.
Anyone had any problems with their photos on renewal?
We got no receipt so if the Passport Office refuse them we are £7 gone, unless we can persuade Waitrose it was Photo-Me problem.
There is no means of adjusting etc[msnmad]
