    Restaurants in Miami

    HI,

I wasn't sure whether to put this in the Central Florida "Eating Out" section, but decided not to!!

Can anyone recommend any good (family friendly) restaurants in the Miami area? Location not too important, although close to SOuth Beach would be an advantage.

    Thanks

My favourite restaurant in all of America was on South Beach - "Wolfies" (sort of kosher deli food). Unfortunately the owner died a couple of years ago and it closed. There was much talk of his son re-opening it, but I haven't been back to see if it has or not.

It was on Biscayne Boulevard - if it has reopened, you should try it out.

There is an awesome chinese buffet in Miami called Emerald Coast, this is no cheap and nasty buffet, the quality of the decor and food is superb

We went to the one in Sunny Isles it's probably about 10 miles up Collins Ave. (A1A coast road)

    see website link http://www.emeraldcoastbuffet.com/

I've just browsed the website pages again and can't stop slobbering over my keyboard now.

It's the best chinese I've seen in Florida and well worth a visit.

    regards

Any of the resturants along South beach are pretty good if a bit pricey. We also found a nice Thai last trip, I think it was on Collins. The Planet Hollywod and HRC chain is there also. We stayed there for 10 days a couple of years ago and I am racking my brains to think where we ate!
We like Cuban and Spanish so we tried lots of different places which sold this type of food. Just have a cruise round during the day before you need to eat and see what takes your fancy!

I was going to put a bid in for Wolfie's too-it's 5 years since we were there-so sadly knew nothing about it's closure.

One of the waiters told me that thye never closed. The door didn't even have a lock.

When hurricanes hit they just barricaded it.
