    thanks blott
when I look at web ssite for wanadoo I can get mail.
I cannot go off line and read, so have to stay on line
HOweevr I note that the email does get downloaded to my OE.
As I said I worked aaaround it in June and will have to receive in freeserve/wanadoo and send / reply in bdu.
Also thanks to others, I dont think it worth changing just for a couple of weeks, so will stick tto what I have; just that I wanted confirmation that there was no other way round the probleem. Wanadoo do not have a US dial up number
    regards and thanks

    Hi Ian,

I have a Wanadoo email account and use Budgetdialup when I'm in Florida. I just buy about 10 or 20 hours of time on BDU (unused time rolls over for a year), and access the Wanadoo website. I have arranged Webmail option with Wanadoo , so just login to their site and download my email.

Having used BDU twice now I find I don't use much more than 10 hours during the two weeks I'm there, which only costs $5.95 (20 hours is $9.95). I can strongly recommend them.

We are lucky enough to have a wireless router in the clubhouse of our subdivision, but last time I was there a lightning storm had blown the router so I was unable to use it. There are a few places with free wireless access in the Kissimmee area, but I still feel safer with BDU as backup.

The dialup method is painfully slow, but better than no internet at all !! [msnsmile2]

My email account is with btinternet so whilst in Orlando I use the webmail option. This then allows me to download the emails I want to keep when I get home.

Yes I am getting the hang of the web mail. Trouble is that I presumably haave to compose on line for replys etc. Although I copy and past now to my bdu OE Identity if its a long reply!

You can compose stuff with Notebook on Windows and then just copy and paste it when you're online?

Blott beat me to it Ian, but yes, that's what I do too. I precomposed two files in MS Word
(one for UK replies and one for US replies as my wording/ contact numbers etc are different)
I just amend the details as required.
I also take a spreadsheet in Excel with my availability calendar. Various other useful documents are held in Word format.

leaaarning as we go! No problem with budget, just the idiot using it
thanks for all the tips. Another thing I learned was NOT to open OE but to look, edit delete those emails not wanted, reeeply to those quick ones then open OE, to download any wanting to save.
