peoplepc looks OK! Liked the 30 free trial but assume its a credit card thing - what about the cancellation after 30 days.
I forgot to mention the budget dialup had a free 'accelatator' download. It did not seem to make any difference. Buget was much slower than the acccess4free one. Strange that, same villa same line

Budget Dialup worked great for us. I signed up for the no software option before we left the UK, and it worked a treat in our rental villa.

Remember to download the list of all the local access phone numbers before you go, as previously mentioned on this thread - difficult to access them when you get there if you can't connect to the www.

Believe me, 10 hours lasts a long time when you just use it for keeping in touch.

    hi
am at Calabay Parc at the moment.
I used the budget diaal up OK in June though I had to work around the email bits.

HOw is it I can receive email in my Outlook express on my freeerve address, but not send when using budget.
I know I have to switch Iddentities etc . can compose but I get an error message saying pop. freeserve not found - or smtp cannot rember whicch.
It may be that I have to use budget email address, whicch of course I have had to sign up for, but I am sure someone will have the answwer[msnwink]

I got in a muddle with this once too (so I hope I've got it right now!). You do need to use the budgetdialup smtp address to send email as you're sending it via their mail server - the only way usually to send email via a UK ISP is to dial their access number in the UK which may be an expensive option!

I use Budgetdialup in the US, but I don't use bdu email. Both my old UK ISP (AOL) and my new ISP (F2S) have web-based email which you can send and receive anywhere. If you use AOL in the UK you can also access AOL with local access numbers in the US, but they charge you £2.50 an hour, so it is cheaper to use Budgetdialup to access the internet, then use AOL webmail.
