Flights

Has anyone taken a MONARCH flight out to Orlando ? If so I would like to know what you thought.

The 4 and a half drive to Manchester was exhausting ! half [xx(] after that !!! and we are only half an hour from Cardiff ![msnsmile]

We have travelled Monarch twice in the last year (they fly into Sanford) The first time was fine for a charter flight,the second we felt more cramped and the food was dire.However,the savings we made at the time made it still worthwhile.Service was pleasant and we were on time all 4 flights

If I were going occasionally as a holidaymaker then I would splash out on a scheduled flight,but we could not afford to do that and go 2/3 times a year.Since it is only a small amount of our holiday time I would rather compromise on a flight than the accommodation

We are very flexible on flights and would happily fly into Orlando,Tampa or Sanford and will fly direct or indirect.We have only had 2 bad flights to Florida in 25 years!

My advice is to take a few tasty snacks on board to supplement the meals

We took a Monarch flight out of Cardiff on 2nd June. We had doubts after reading the reviews but I have to admit they were fine. The flight was delayed going out for four hours due to tech problems but they flew another plane in from Manchester. The aircraft was an Airbus A300 330 with plenty of room. I am six foot but had absolutely no problem with legroom going out. The food was fine and the cabin staff attentive and friendly. Coming back we upgraded to premium for $125.00 each. This was a great move as we had loads of room, free drinks and a seatback TV. We were on time leaving Sanford and they got us back early. We couldn't fault Monarch and would definitely fly with them again. It's great to land in Cardiff and be home in thirty minutes.

We have travelled with Monarch several times from Newcastle to Sanford and apart from the odd delay, have had no great problems with them. They use an Airbus 330 from N/castle. Nice plane. Reasonable amount of legroom. Staff on our flights have been good. [msnsmile2]

My friend and a few of our guests have used Monarch flights and said it was fine, a small delay in leaving but arrived pretty much on time.

And the cabin crew are relay nice and professional.
