    Hurricane Emily

It appears another depression has formed and the National Huricane Centre predict it will become a hurricane, with a more northerly course than Dennis; forcast to reach Florida latitudes next week It will be called Emily when it reaches Tropical storm status.

Usual disclaimers on speed, direction, strength etc. However looks likely to bring more winds and rain to central Florida if nothing else.

Will keep an eye on this one to see how it develops.

Yeah I would not want to live in Dominican Republic, Haiti or Cuba.

I have spoken several times to our present guests and they are enjoying their stay enormously. They have had some rain, but are not the least bothered by it. After all Florida has a sub-tropical climate, and you will get some rain in the summer months. There is so much to see and do that rain will not stop you!

Most of these tropical depressions will not impact on the Orlando area, so don't waste your energies worrying about them. Tropical depressions are a way of life in the Caribbean and its surrounding areas, but most pass by Orlando.

Don't spoil your planned holiday by imagining the worst - it may never happen!

We were in Florida during August last year, and are booked to fly out again on the 20th. It's a great time to go, but then, any time is a great time to visit Florida![8D]
