We put a lot of effort and time into making our villa look good in the hope that people will want to keep it the way they find it. In most cases this works. The only thing we really stress is that the rubbish is put out and our management company then put the bags in the resort dumpster. We do have a little note saying it would be helpful if all dishes are in the dishwwasher and switched on and all dirty laundry is gathered up and a load on is helpful. Most guests seem to just do this.

I think we have only had one real strange experience, I mean the villa was left relatively clean, but the guests had used every sheet and towel in the house, having never washed any for 2 weeks! This took our management company ages to wash etc!!!

Thats a new one on me, $50 for more than two loads of washing![msnscared] As Steph says they could be catching an awful lot of guests with this one, as alot of parties would require alot more loads than this.

It would put a lot of people off going back.....I'm messy when on holiday......which is why I don't do self catering.....I don't cook..I don't pick up after anyone....I don't clean unless its the loo bath or sinks...we always leave a place with rubbish cleared up....beds pulled back when used.....I would hate to be told I had to do the washing...being asked if I could would be different....

I think most owners ask you to put the first load on either towels or bedding. It just gives the cleaners a head start, especially if they have loads of bedrooms to launder.
