Yes it is sad news - a great loss to the music industry at such a young age.

It was very sad news. I remember his music as being a breath of fresh air during the Stock, Aitken & Waterman dominated late 80's.

I have heard "Dance with my father" several times on the radio this weekend, it is a beautiful song, usually moves me to tears.

I heard the news on the car radio, and was amazed that they said he had not fully recovered from an earlier stroke, (last year I think?), but he had continued to record since then! I have great admiration for such a great artist! RIP Luther

A sad loss - feel like I've grown up with him.

First became aware of Luther from his single "Never too Much" - was a favourite in the clubs when I was of clubbing age!

I've always had a weakness for soul music, and his voice was just amazing....to think he started off as an unknown backing singer....

"Dance with my Father" showed he was really back on form - it certainly is a beautiful song....

Yes, me to when I heard the news so sad. We had Luther's music at our wedding and backing music on our video too "never too much".
Luckily we were priveleged to see him at Wembley Arena and it was such a fab concert. Would have loved to see him sing again.
    God Bless You Luther.
