    New Seaworld Park

The Orlando Sentinel reported a couple of days back that a new Seaworld Park will open in 2007 using 58 of a 100 acre site that Seaworld already own south of Sea Harbour Drive. What sort of attraction it will be wont be revealed until Fall, but it is surmised that this will most likely be a Disney type water park to rival nearby Wet n Wild. It will be almost twice as big as Discovery Cove which is only 30 acres.

Discovery Cove has limited entry every day, by reservation! This is why this park is so small at only 30 acres. The new park will be open with out limits so needs to be bigger (whatever it is!)

It looks like being a water park to compete against Wet'n'Wild. But the local residents have objected against the noise and busier roads. The plans are on hold awaiting further details from Seaworld.
I hope it is a water park they are such fun.

We are a big fan of the Disney waterparks, I would imagine a Seaworld one would be fantastic I would certainly welcome another themed waterpark to the Orlando area, but admit the extra traffic for locals needs to be considered too[msnsmile]

Hooray for Sea World. It's good to see they are trying to keep up with the competition. I'm surprised the land hasn't been sold to build more villas, but very happy that it hasn't.
