Disney Dollars...

What is the advantage of exchanging your real money with them? Anybody know?[)]

None except novelty factor for the children. Everything costs the same in either US or Disney dollars, so you're better off not chaning your money into them as you can only use them in Disney obviously.

I don't know that there is any real advantage. I see them as "Disney gift certificates" and I have purchased them in the past for that purpose.

One of my guests said that they gave Disney Dollars to each other for Christmas so it sounds like a gift certificate, but also allows people to budget their spending.

Just a quick note to say that we kept our disney dollars from our first visit and framed them for the kids with a photo of each of them at Magic Kingdom and the date. Makes a nice keepsake.
