Hi

Thanks all for your advice. I emailed Busch Gardens and they replied. They said unfortunatly they do not have any Koalas in their collection.

Still worth a visit though as they have alot of other animals and attractions to see, shame about the koalas though.[msnsmile2]

I must admit I have not heard of any Kooala's in Florida. Also took a look on the net and could not find anything. Sorry.

Hope the alligators don't end up in a burger bun.[msnwink]

Speaking of which, Ray & Sarah, have you not tried Gator yet? I did, and it does taste a bit like chicken.[msnsmile2] I even went to one place where they had "Gator Nuggets" don't think it was McDonalds though.[msntongue]

Remember seeing Koolas in Animal Kingdom a couple of years ago, but cannot remember where abouts, think it was in the childrens area, but do not know whether you could hold them or not, you could always ask. I do remember it was the area you catch the train to.
Sorry to be vague, but they are there.

quote Busch GardensThis park is not only an awesome amusement park with plenty of scary rides, but it's also a world class zoo. They're part of the Species Survival Program, which is designed to help endangered species reproduce. They have more animals than any other zoo I've ever been to, including a koala bear! They did have 2, but one died recently. The only other zoo in North America to have koalas is San Diego, I think. They also have a very impressive exhibit for chimps and gorillas. You walk through on a path and can see them up fairly close, especially through the big plates of glass. There are also giraffes, zebras, lions, tigers, hyenas, hippos, lots of alligators and crocodiles, elephants, so many birds I could never name them all, kangaroos, and my personal favorite, the meerkats. If you've never seen a meerkat, check them out on Discovery sometime. They're hysterical! In the nursery right now, there are 2 tiger cubs that are just adorable. this is busch gardens

If its alligators you want, try Gatorland.
Your girlfriens will not get the opportunity to hold a Koala, but will be able to sit on the back of an alligator, at the westling show

Or you could try Boggy Creek airboat rides to see real live alligators in the swamp if you really want to see alligators. This was a great experience and I would tell anyone to give it ago! they provide ear defenders and life jackets for anyone under the age of 6.

The baby alligators on the International Drive mini golf are good too!!!
