As usual it depends on your own personal circumstances, existing medical conditions etc. Provided you are in reasonable health then you will find it difficult to beat the annual packages offered by places like Argos, Boots, Tesco, AA etc. You can get family annual coverage for around £90.
We pay £120 with Barclaycard but that covers both my husband and daughters asthma and daughters excema which other companies would have excluded and as anyone with any knowledge of the conditions knows the asthma particularly could be aggravated by the recirculated air during the flight.

We use jameshampden.com Cost £46 last year for a family of 5 for 2 weeks. Good for pensioners too at only £20 each. Not sure how much annual insurance is but it's all on the website.

Try some of the on line insurance companies. You can usually get an instant quote, and discounts for buying on line.
