    Theme Parks

Hi I am a 15 year old girl going on my first ever trip to go Florida on the 2nd of July. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on what there is to do for my age group and what rides are the best at the parks, as I am willing to go on any! I would also like to know where the best places to shop are, cause I have saved up alot of money and can't wait to go to an American Mall and spend it all! [grin]

    Hi Gerrarde
    nice job!

sorry getting confused with names and ages! i take it your the daughter????????

maybe if you look in the kids area there will be lots of interesting stuff for you! they have talked/written about all sorts of rides etc........
if that fails come and shout and we'll all try and help you, but there is sooooooooo many great things for a young lady of your age!!

and as for the shopping!!! you'll have a great time! (one tip dont wear french connection tops in the parks they dont like them and make you turn them in the wrong way)

    Hi,
Anything you need to know about the parks, shopping, eating, swimming, golfing, horse riding in the Orlando/ Kissimmee areas will probably have been discussed on this forum at some time.
Good idea is to use the search facility to put in words and let the search do the hunting for you![msnwink]

There are great Florida guides within the three Orlandovillas websites. Also I was in the post office the other day, and they do some very comprehensive guide books, one on Florida generally and an even more "in depth "one on the Orlando area.

You will like Islands of adventure. Lots of rollercoasters in there. I also like MGM.

hi i am amy stringer i am 15 too!

i love florida i have been 6 times, all the disney theme parks are great - they are not too babyish at all if that is what you are worried about, and if you like fast rides it is the place to go - and you can have your photos taken with all the charectors too! my favourite park out of them all is sea world its amazing! it is not a disney park though it is still very magical! it is the place to go if you like life under the sea like dolphins, whales ect but if you do go there for the day you MUST see the shamu show, shamu is a killer whale and it a spectacular display, also seaworld has got one of the best roller-coasters in florida "krakern" its great! (not so good if you dont like hights!) but there is also both the universal studio parks, the studios themself and islands of adventure they are both really fun but also interesting and the have good rides. - so it really depends what you like but for me they are all good[msnsmile2]
shopping - well i think in florida you can go shopping anywhere and you will find a bargin! my three favourite shops are ross, beals outlets, and tj maxx, they are all very similar to tk maxx we get over here where you can get good branded clothes very cheap. but if you dont like shops like that so much there are many malls. the florida mall is very good but slightly expensive - though not compared to over here. there is another good one i like calles beltz at the top of international drive. but any mall you stop at in florida is a good expiriance.

enjoy your holiday, hope this has been of help[msnsmile]

As the appointed adult for taking all my nephews & nieces on as many scary rides as possible, here are a few must do's:
    Mission Space - Epcot
Rock & Roller Coaster - MGM
    Haunted mansion - MGM
Doctor Dooms Fear Fall - IOA
    Dinosaur - AK
    Duelling Dragons - IOA
etc etc etc.............. I know I've left out loads that we just HAVE to do each time we go!
Why not try http://www.villasflorida.com/vacatio...ey-parks2.aspx that will give you a bit more background on the different parks?
Oh yes, one last must do...... Hard Rock Cafe at Universal (their flagship restaurant & well worth the visit for great food with some great music!)
    Have a FABULOUS time[clap][clap][clap]

The list goes on and on!!

Everyone has their favs, so I suggest you go on them all and decide once you have been on them!

Personally, The Tower of Terror is one of my best rides in Disney!

    Just love it!!

Kraken is also a fabulous ride and so is the Duelling Dragons.

Everyone's list will be different. Enjoy your holiday!

    You'll have a fab time! [msnwink][msnsmile2]
