Just a quick question from you Florida regulars. When were there (28/05 -18/06) there seemed to be a huge amount of roadwork, especially in the I-4. Is there a big infrastructure programme in hand at the moment and does anyone know ehen they are due to be finished? We experieneced several long delays [msnmad] as 4 lanes were reduced to 1 causing huge tailbacks. Also there never seems to be anyone at work in the cordoned off bits! Can anyone enlighten me? [msnsmile]

try this site. [website link edited] it is very useful and gives you updates on lane closures etc it also has 10 web cams that update every 3 mintues so you can see the current traffic conditions.

The I-4 roadwidening is from Disney down to Tampa to make it a 3 lane highway. This should make it much better to drive down
They say it should be finished in December 2006, but until then they only tend to work in the evenings and it does not usually cause any problems.
