    HAIRDRESSERS

Any good hairdressers in the Davenport/Kissimmee area? We're over this way right now and I badly need to get my highlights touched up and roots done, but had a bad experience with FL mall. Anyone had their blonde hair touched up here and a nice haircut locally for a reasonable price?

The hair salon at Champions Gate do mine and they do not too bad a job. There is a Toni and Guy in Orlando which was my hairdresser in the UK but again they are expensive. I normally colour my own hair and have it styled and then blow dried every few days whilst I am on holiday or I just end up tying it up.

There's a hairdressers at the shopping plaza on HW27 heading south just before Highlands Reserve. It's right by the traffic light junction, there is also Publix and several other stores, so you could check it it while collecting your groceries. Can't comment on hairdressers, but did have my nails done at the nail saloon there and I know that was reasonable.

There is a hairdresser's inside the Walmart on the 192, I can't say if they are any good but in December and in Feb they were busy every time we went in for shopping[msnsmile2]

The Latino girl in the salon in Wal-mart on the JYP used to do my hair really nice but I would not have it cut in there!

    Hi Patsy,
Champions Gate, they do a good manicure and the hair stylists seemed to do a good job but only from observation.

Unless your hair is short and highlights grow out quickly I wouldn't mess about - pay the extra and go to Toni & Guy. Although small independants may be great for a wash & blow dry, you don't know what bleaches they will use (unless of course you ask first!)
Toni & Guy insist that all of their colorists go through their training irrespective of previous experience.

I like Toni and Guy but I find that they have "season" haircuts that the stylists are all trained to do and everyone comes out with a variation on one of these cuts. Another thing I found strange was their Colour technicians (!) can't cut hair, they just specialize in colour[msneek].

Mr CDV used to have a fit when I came home and told him I had paid £100 to get my hair cut and coloured. [msneek] Now he just accept that ladies cannot have their hair done down the barbers for 6 quid!
