easter in florida

Hi all, been long absence, took the kids to portugal (in a villa) (florida back last feb) and yes they are now pining for orlando, prob is girls are nearly 14 and so doing their gcse work now so cannot really take them out of school for long, option being Easter 2 weeks, have never been then before is it REALLY that horrendous? queues etc????

We have been at Easter and although the queues are longer than at other times of the year they are not too horrendous. Although the longer queue length is a downside the Easter parades are very good.

Hope your daughters do well with their GCSE work.

Easter may be a bit busier than some other times but it is still a great time to go. We have been stuck with the school holidays ourselves, our eldest has just finished his GCSE's (hooray!) and the younger one will be doing his options nest year so will be stuck for a bit longer. [msnsmile2]

it is not really that bad - obviously with it being school holidays etc it is always going to be busier.

I'm sure though that the opening hours of the parks etc cater for this as they do in the summer with having longer opening hours.

I have been at Easter a few times, the first time we thought by all the stories we had been told it would be horrendous,not at all, we loved Florida at this time of the year the queues can be no longer than a busy weekend
If you plan your day at the parks,use fast track you will be fine,
The weather is great,everywhere is fresh the summer stock is in all the shops
I think you will be pleasantly suprised

We went this year for the first time at Easter and we were surprised that it was not busier. The weather is great in April too!

Like you we're stuck with school holidays, so always go at Easter, the queues aren't bad especially if you get there early and do the big rides straight away then a few smaller ones and back to the villa for an afternoon swim and chill out, by which time it's perfect to head back to the parks for the parades, fireworks etc.

This year was our first Easter break in Orlando. The first week was busier than the second but we had a fantastic time. The weather was lovely and we had a really good time in the warm sunshine after the English winter. We're already booked to return next year.

Afraid we're stuck with school holidays - apart from the girls I work in a school....

easter is not too bad. Parks will be busier but they can cope with huge amounts of people.

Weather is better in April than summer.
