Are you sure Mick? The 1700 PHL-MCO is an Airbus 300 but the LGW-PHL is a 333 (very different aircraft). The 1815 is a Boeing 757.
I would suggest that you check that because it doesn't look right.

Yep I reckon your right, the lady that's sorting us out looks to have read it wrong.
She's forwarded the info on and it does say none stop but on reading it, thats none stop to Phili.
Price to date is £3252 for 7 adults 1 child inc a 7/8 seater minivan
We have flown US on a number of occasions no complaints. Have you cross checked the price with the link here? Dawn at Charter travel will be able to give you all the info you need not sure if she works Sundays? Worth checking with her first though b4 you book

I've continued to phone around and just got another quote, interestingly they stated that we would not transfer at Phili, just re-fuel.

Not true its a transfer with an aircraft change[msnwink]
Have you checked out the price of the flight only with car hire from this site which is excellent value?<blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Originally posted by Mick-H

If we do book our landing time at Phili is 15.20 with our connection leaving at 17.00, would this leave us enough time? or should I ask for a later connection.

We have done this route with a similar transfer time - if you get in a queue at immigration mention your connecting flight to an attendant - we did they just fast passed us through - got connecting flight no problem. Only problem would be in you were delayed but there are flights in and out - not something we would consider too much!!!
Have a great holiday.

We have used this airline in the past, and have made transfers with them. Never had a major problem. One instance we were on the runway in Tampa at the time we should have been taking off from Chicago. I spoke with a stewardess and she informed me that if the plane had left Chicago then we would be accommodated in a hotel and flown home the next day. As it ahppened the plane was still there and we dashed from one to the other, no problem. the delay was caused by thunder storms in Chicago not by the airline.
We did a transfer last year using Delta.
Our flight on the way back from Orlando to Altanta was delayed and we thought we would have missed the flight.
BUT NO!
they held it for us!!
Doing the same again this November but using US Airways.

Thanks very much for all replies
Everything is now sorted, I got in touch with Dawn and she just about managed to get us a better deal, which is very much appreciated[beer]the fact that she's on this site swung the deal.
Still got the transfer at Phili but as many of you have stated already it should be nothing to worry about.
Once again [beer][beer]
