As it has been said before, a not guilty verdict doesn't necessarily mean not guilty, it just means that there was an element of doubt, whether that be actual doubt or lack of conclusive evidence to prove guilt. My personal opinion is he is as guilty as sin. I don't understand that people still to this day think of him as a child in a man's body. He's not. When he's negotiating multi-million dollar deals and recording contracts is he a child then? I think not! He's a grown man, a business man, and is admired for that aspect also. A child isn't capable of that is it? I think the problem is that most child sex offenders believe that they have something in common with children well into adulthood and people like him just work the system.
He and his music is representative of an innocent age, therefore we basically confuse him with an innocent person, this may not necessarily be the case. With regard to his parents being abusive, well a lot of children come from abusive backgrounds, they don't all try to sleep with 13 year old boys when they are pushing 50 do they? Not only did I think he was guilty but I think judging by the look on his face as he went into court that he would be found guilty. I think he was as stunned at the verdict as everyone else was. If he was truly guilty, what a blow for all abused children. I'd like to see at least one guilty celebrity take the rap for what they do.
