hello
we pay from mco $2.75 in total.
We tend to have about $10 of change which we keep in the car for tolls some of the tolls are exact change ONLY which is a pain I think from memory it is the one near gaylord palms. I suppose it depends where you are travelling from & to. Hope this helps.

I want to make sure we have enough change for tolls before we drive off from the airport, what is the average cost per toll and what is the most we'll have to pay?

Go here [website link edited]
and there is a toll calculator. Tells you exactly how much you need.

Oh well, google for Florida toll roads, check the responses and follow the one for the expressway authority, theres a toll calculator there

I must travel the same way as Berni. Down the Greenway from MCO and off at Celebration is $2.75.

Is that the 417? Thats the way we go[msnwink]
I always (no matter how many times I have been) always end up on the toll road from Sanford. Maybe I will blame this on Mels navigation. But have only once not had change to pay. Normally I like the I4 as is no real hassle (depending on time of day), generally when the flight arrives it is not too busy.
We always direct our guests to use the 417 if they're flying into MCO or SFB as we find its a quieter road. When we're in Florida, we save the $1 bills, so that when we return home we can give guests, coming from the UK, some bills for the tolls.
So if you're wondering where all the $1 bills are, we've got them[msnwink]
last year our villa owner included the correct change for the tolls together with instructions to the villa in Glenbrook .It was just one less think to worry about when we arrived, and the gesture was very much appreciated.

Nothing to do with coming and going to the airport, but a tip if you're using any of the toll roads to go out and about.
A number of the small exits are tolled, but unmanned.
Keep some quarters in the car during your holiday, as you'll need 50c each time if you use these.
You'd probably get away with going through without paying once or twice, but they can and will take your licence number, so it's not worth risking getting fined.
