hi sarah, i used one at christmas and it was accepted everywhere we tried it so in that way it was good but you are charged for atm withdrawals .when we got ours you were getting $250 free but we only went for 8 days and it takes a week for the free dollors to load ( maybe it was longer because of christmas ) also some travel agents were charging for the card itself and some were not , so shop around have a good time wish it was me!!!!![msnwink]

we also used it in January found it Okay
we where told it was $2 charge
at the ATM ,one bank wouldn't take it I think it was Bank America
so we used the ATM at wal mart
but only used it twice $300 each time
so with $50 free on each card did okay

Where are you flying from Sarah? We are flying on Thurs 4th from Cardiff!!

If you are using your Credit Card in the USA make sure and tell your bank here you will be abroad, as it they ring to check it is a genuine transaction abroad they will phone your home no. in the UK and get no reply!!

We have the American Express Travellers Cheque Card.

The only place we have found that does not take it is Petrol Stations.

They did have some good offers on them too, but not sure if they are still on!

Handy if you don;t like carrying cash, and easier to use than TC as you don;t get change from them.

Great idea and you can top up and use again.
