Anyone know which company I can use for my 16 year old niece she is coming to Florida with us, we have annual family cover but she needs cover just for herself.
Thanks in advance![]()

There aren't that many insurance companies that cover just minors. I've DM'd you a couple which I can't post.

No Julie, they haven't. On our family one, my husband and I can use it without the kids but they can't use it without us. So I don't think that would work.
Thanks for trying, and thanks Blott for the info. I've got a couple of quotes that I can pass on to her.![]()

The direct travel on which has been metnioned allows children to travel alone, for up to 21 days, so it may be worth her family getting an annual policy with them or their rates seem to be ok for single trip policies.
Thanks Steph, just go a quote from Direct travel and it beat the last few.[msnsmile2]

I also have "free" insurance with Lloyds. This year we had to cancel our holiday the day before departure, due to my Mother being critically ill. The insurance company ,Genworth, were excellent. Our claim was paid in full within 3 weeks of submission.

Thanks, erm, sneaky? (doesn't seem right that somehow[laugh].
Yes It was Genworth I dealt with for my camera claim, and although at first they questioned my claim, I sent a letter and they paid up very quickly. I can't fault their efficiency, they respond very quickly. I have checked another well known insurance product and Lloyds does compare favourably, and it's free, so wehaaaay![msnsmile2]
I'm happier for checking now, thanks for posting it Terry it's good to know that you're covered especially when things go wrong like they did for your Mom Sneaks. I Hope she's ok?
Noticed an advert on TV last night heralding a "brand new and exciting" (think it was Barclays?) bank account with "free road side recovery and travel insurance" Looks like the bandwagon is on the roll !! [msnwink]
Maybe they decided Lloyds had a good idea after all ? [msnsmile2]
