Prince of Wales British Pub

Had fish and chips at Joan's place on US27 south, just past the junction of I-4.
Great food and footy on tele, but no rugby as yet!!

Suggest that you pop in and pick up a good british breakfast or have a break from burgers and get some fish and chips.

Packed out when the soccer is on!!

I have to ask why travel all the way to Florida to visit an english pub. Give me eggs benedict any day or a good IHOP[msntongue]

How about the Rose and Crown? With Fish and Chips from Harry Ramsdens next door? That's definitely worth the flight. [msnwink][msntongue]

We've only ever been to the Prince of Wales once and found it quite dull and dingy; almost as though they had tried to give the place an American bar feel but at the same time based around an English pub. It's half bar, half diner, half pub and the other half of it doesn't know what it is.

I also thought the food was average at best and the service was shocking. When we tried to get another guinness our waitress told us she was finishing so we would have to settle up, and if we wanted another guinness we could get one from the bar.

What more incentive does one need to head back to the villa for a couple more coldies out by the pool.

Sorry but I disagree, the Rose and Crown wouod be my last on the list in Epcot - Much better food and value can be had in just about every other country in Epcot. France and Canada are just walking distance away. MInd I do not rate Harry Ramsdens here in the UK either but my kids like it..

Can honestly say in all the times we have been to the states we have never been in an english pub of fish & chip place and never intend to. I love fish & chips but I can get them whilst at home along with the english pubs. When in Rome and all that.

You book a trip to Florida. You look forward to the trip for probably months. You are going overseas. To the USA! You get on the flight. Passing through the airport you are so excited. Finally you get to your villa. You unpack, with the US TV on. You are in the USA! WooHoo! It doesn't get much better than this! What to do? Maybe go to Disney? Or hit one of those huge malls?

NO! You go to a Brit Pub and have fish and chips?

I'd kill for a good English pub on the Cape...sitting outside on a hot summer day with a plowmans.......we have a great Irish place...the fish and chips are out of this world.....after living here a while...you miss using a knife and fork..and sitting in chairs not nailed to the floor.....

Have to agree about seeking out British venues whilst abroad, we avoid them like the plague, especially when Karioke is involved!

We have driven past the Prince of Wales on many ocasions. I have to say we made a comment about it only yesterday whilst driving past it on our way down to the Gulf Coast. It still has a sign out side advertising the Liverpool v Milan match, almost what 2 weeks later[msneek][msneek].

Does anyone know if the new Irish Bar is open yet at Downtown Disney? Thought it might be worth a visit when we are over in July if it is open. [lucky]
