Southern Dunes clubhouse restaurant

Well here we are at Southern Dunes.

Don't know what's happened to the weather. It's been raining pretty steadily since Wednesday.

Haven't bothered to travel too far afield for food as we have been enjoying the meals at the clubhouse restaurant here.

The prices are good and the food excellent quality.

Would recommend Martha's Vineyard salad.

The Sunday morning breakfast buffet is also not to be missed. If there is nothing that you fancy on the buffet (unlikely) then you can have an omelette cooked to order by the chef while you watch and wait.

We love the Sunday buffet especially choosing our own omlette. The selection of fillings is great and they taste fantastic. Get there early though as it is a 'regulars' meeting place and soon fills up.

Yes, the food is good its just a shame they don't cook in the evenings. I have been told there is no call for evening food, which I think is a load of rubbish. If they cook in the evening, I am sure the place would be packed out. What do you say girls.[msncry]

I absolutely agree. A lovely short walk from the villa and hey presto, delicious food insuperb suroundings.

We would most definitely eat there in the evenings, but then I suppose that we are only out for 3 or 4 weeks of the year!

Maybe we need to start up an owners' petition!!

Yep, must agree the food is excellent after a long long trail round the course. Do they not serve food during the evening in the summertime?

As far as I am aware Steve the answer is no, unless there is something you know that we don't. [msnwink]

I'm afraid that they don't do evening food.

We asked when we were there if there was any possibility of evening opening again (they used to do dinner 2 years ago) and was told that it was down to the home owners to sort out!!

Maybe if enough of us contacted the HOA we might be able to change things.
