Memorial Day Weekend

Just a reminder. This weekend is Memorial Day weekend. It's the start of the summer holidays for most Americans. My kids finnished (broke up from) school this week. The roads will be extra busy. Be careful, most Floridians are terrible drivers!
Also the parks will be extra busy through Monday.

You can say that again. When we are driving around in Florida and see people changing lanes at speed into non existent gaps without indicating we just nod and say "local people".

Our number one rule for driving in Florida is always expect the unexpected,never presume anything. It still amazes me how many people don't wear seat belts yet still drive like lunatics.

Everywhere is full and you can tell its a holiday weekend. We are giving the parks a miss this weekend until early next week. Took us almost an 1 hour to get to the Florida mall from the 192 Walmart yesterday.

We are out in Florida at the moment, visiting our villa.

Thanks for the warning, we will stay off the roads for a couple of days!!
Won't be too much of a problem, as my husband is quite happy to play golf every day and he only has to drive up to the clubhouse.

I can quite happily walk down to WalMart and kill a couple of hours whilst he's out.

I'd best not let my daughter read this, she arrives on the island on Wednesday and is hoping for 14 weeks of unbroken sunshine!

Stll hot and sunny in the mornings.
So far, have not had any problems with traffic on I-4. Maybe everyone is at the Mall for the sales.

We've had bad weather here for weeks....A NorEaster just left....its been like living in a wind tunnel for the last week....But this is New England wait five mins and the weather will change.......[msnsmile2]
