We're insured at last

After a last minute panic when my Dad's insurers would not renew his annual policy due to a change in his health - he is finally insured and ok to go [clap]

To cut a long story short, after telling us they would renew the policy when the renewal date came - they wouldn't renew [msnmad] [msnmad]

Spent many hours on the phone and internet and could not get cover without paying a ridiculous price. This was due to a combination of his age, his medical condition and the fact that we are visiting USA (where else would we go?).

We go next week so real panic was setting in - but AGE CONCERN saved the day with an annual policy so a big thumbs up for them [clap]
SAGA also gave us a very reasonable quote but for single trip only.

So it's now organising/packing & last minute panicking time - <span style="color:red">I'M SO EXCITED</span id="red">

Great news Julie, these insurance companies are a pain in the b**. They are not my favourite people after we couldn't claim for our 1 day in Orlando when my dad died suddenly. Because I had done it online I missed all the small print about telling them about any ailment any far flung relative may have. [msnmad]
