We found the food at Golden Coral was excellent but hated the way these sort of places encourage people to continually get up & help themselves. I know thats the idea but it does nothing to encourage good manners in children when people are always getting up to leave the table. We tried to all go to the service at once but gave up in the end - I also hate to see people taking so much food and then leaving it if they dont like it, just because they don't have to pay more. Excellent value but I have definate reservations!!!![msnsad]

When my wife and I first stayed in Flordia we visited one of these on our first or second day. Later in the week we were musing over where to eat, my wife chirped in 'Lets see if we can find one of those "eat as much as you can" places'! I've never let her live it down to this day (Its OK, she doesn't read this forum).

My lot like the Golden Coral, we fill up before the parks then all we need are drinks throughout the day and stop for dinner on the way home.

I also hate to see people putting so much on their plate and then leaving most of it. My girls are told they only take what they will eat and if they are unsure just take a little and go back if they like it.

Has to be the Golden Corral Breakfast for us. We go at least once when ever we are there. It is great to fill up for a day at the parks.
We too were very Dissapointed in Poderosa, it was very busy and the food was not as good as had been when we first visited many moons ago.
We too like to teach the kids to only take a little and they can always go back if they are still hungry.

Hi Is there any of the above quite close to Disney?
[/quote]We have just returned from our villa and reserved our last night's meal for what we think is the best "all you can eat" buffet. This is Boma resturant at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is about $25 per head so not cheap but well worth it. This is one of the best kept secrets, so don't tell everyone, oops looks like I just have.

I would second that, we gave it a try in February and it made a nice change from all the heavy meals we had eaten.[msnsmile2]
