    parking

I have heard some people say that you can park at the resorts and take the monorail into the parks. When the park closes, you hop on the mono and tke it back to the resort. I would of course purchase a cool beverage waiting for the traffic to subside. If this is not true, can anyone give me suggestions on parking? I heard that it costs about $9.00 a day and that is a lot of money when I am there for 7 days. I have heard horror stories that the public transportation has very long lines. Any suggestions? I am staying outside of Disney and my condo does not provide transportation.

    Thanks for any advise

We have not found any other way of parking than paying the parking fee. The monorail takes you from the transportation center to either Magic Kingdom or Epcot ( it also stops at some Disney hotels). The transportation center is a pay car park, it is the only car park for Magic Kingdom, but Epcot has its own car park. It is good fun travelling on the monorail.
Hope this helps, sorry could not recommend a cheaper way of parking.[msncry]

Parking is $8 per day, don't know about being able to park in the Disney Hotel Car Parks.

You can always get some one to drop you off, and then avoid paying the fee.

You cannot park at the Disney hotels unless you are a guest there or if you are attending for a meal etc they give you a parking permit, however you need a proir reservation and when we where last over in march you also needed photo ID.

Bjsmom- if the parking is an issue for you ($8 per day) your plan would work at Downtown disney on the buses, but it would take you a long time from leaving your villa to getting into the parks and then back when they close.
