incorrect spelling on tickets

Don't know if this is a problem or not. Just picked up our tickets flying out on the 21st May with Virgin. Have just noticed that the spelling of my name on the tickets and all virgin paperwork are incorrect they have spelled my name with two L's and not one. My passport does have the correct spelling of one L. I believe the booking agent didn't inform them correctly of the spelling.

I have tried to call virgin but the office closes at 8pm. Only worried really has the holiday only 9 Days away now.

Cant remember the airlines but once they did make a error on my sons tickets (travel agency) which did not match his passport, so they did re-issue new tickets. Was a real long drawn out thing but maybe they wont even catch it.

Hello my sons name was spelt wrong a few years back and we had to get it changed,that was in spain so i would suggest it best to get it sorted out before you go especially knowing how tight florida are when letting you into the country.I like to check that everything is perfect so we dont come across any problems.[msncool]

We booked our recent Easter flights through Charter Travel over the phone and they took all our names. When we received the tickets, my husbands name had been spelt wrong, but Charter enclosed a note for the Virgin check-in staff pointing out the mistake.

We went into Thomson's today and they called Virgin. Virgin have confirmed that as the spelling of my name on the tickets is with two L's and not one this will not be a problem as the name is still the same and only an addition of one letter has occured, had this been a complete mis-spelling of the christian name or surname name this would be a different matter. I can still use the tickets I have and Thomson's have said they will make a note that I have been given this information by Virgin Today. I didn't realise it would be this straight forward, I thought they would have to issue another ticket. Glad I don't have to wait for that. At least it is sorted out now.
