Hi
Can anyone tell me whether the tap water in the Orlando area is fit to drink.
When we were last there it smelled quite strongly of bleach and we stuck to bottled water for drinking.

It does, doesn't it Jo-anne? We understand that it is safe to drink but not very pleasant. We stick to bottled water for that reason.![]()

I would stick to Bottled water to be on the safe side.

You can drink the tap water but it doesnt taste too good due to the high mineral content. Bottled water is very cheap.

We also use bottled water in our kettle to make a decent cup of tea as it still has a funny taste after it has been boiled.

We also use bottled water and fully agree with Tina about the tea tasting rather peculiar. One tip we were told about by an ex-pat was to keep a jug of tap water in the fridge for use in the kettle. It does cut down the peculiar taste.

I would agree, we have drunk the tap water with no ill effects, but the bottled water is extremely cheap and we tend to stick to that as it is much nicer.
Just the smell is enough to put me off drinking it, we always buy bottled water for cold drinks, making tea and coffee and for cooking vegetables in. Its so cheap and well worth it for the difference it makes.[msnsmile]

We use bottled water for everything, its so cheeeeeaaaaaaap.
Ahhhhh, the joys of a fridge with a built in water filter and chiller.
If only there was a way to connect beer into it.
