    Shopping in Orlando

    Hi

I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place, but I've heard that shopping in Orlando is very good.

My son goes through many pairs of trainers within weeks of buying them, and is now after some Nike shocks. Should I encourage him to wait until he goes to Florida? I've heard that they are cheaper than here but I don't know if it's worth him waiting until September.

    Many thanks

    Hi,

I buy all trainers now from Florida in particular Nike, I got some wonderful bargains including a pair for $30, there are various Nike Stores through out Orlando but the best one is at Orlando Premium Outlets which also includes an Adidas store, among others.[sporty]

Without a doubt Florida is the place to buy trainers. We always top up when we are there. As Gary and Sam say there are numerous Nike outlet shops around Orlando.[msnwink]

If the trainers he is after are the most up to date models you may not be able to find these in the outlets. However sports shops in places like The Florida Mall or some of the big department stores wil most likely have them. they will be more expensive than outlet prices but certainly much cheaper than here in the UK

    Hello there,

Oh yes, shopping is fabulous in Florida....For everything[msnwink][msnwink][msnwink]
I have 3 children and they go trainer mad everytime we go, my eldest bought 3 pairs from Foot Locker in The Florida Mall. Then my next son bought shocks from the Nike shop at Premium Outlets. My daughter and husband got theirs from Sports Authority on the 192. There is also one across from the Florida Mall.

    Happy shopping[msnwink][msnwink][msnwink]

If you can wait, it will be worthwhile, you will save lots of money. [msnsmile]

my girls were into Nike shox last december but we didnt see them anywhere in Florida, we ended up paying over £100 for my eldest and £45 for my youngest but had to get them here much to my annoyance, so many great pairs over there they still got a new pair each there!

The only places we have seen the latest styles have been sports shops rather than the Outlet Malls, which tend to stock the older styles. My son got a pair of shox in Nike Town last year but that was in New York, but at a better price than over here. The Outlet Malls are great for trainers though and you can pick up some real bargains. Happy shopping.[msnsmile2]

Agree with the comments that you are unlikely to get the "latest" trainers at the real bargain prices, but as an example last trip we bought a pair of Tommy Hilfiger trainers for my daughter for £18, on our return, the same trainers here in the uk were £69!!!!!!!!
That was in a DSW shoe outlet, they have a web to find various locations, but as others have said, I don't think they stock the latest trends! Shoes were fantastic there though! We always visit DSW now when we go [msnwink]
