Having 3 lads you may want to give Hooters a try. We have 4 boys 16, 11, 11 and 8 (and of course hubby!!)- they loved it there. I must admit to having doubts before going there, but what they say is true - the wings are fantastic.

It was quite entertaining asking the waitress for a table for 9, she scrached her head, put a few tables together and then set them for 11!!!

Also Bahama Breeze is great [msnsmile2]

The Longhorn Steakhouse on the 192 is a lovely family restaurant. A little pricier than most of the other restaurants but really worth it. Great steaks, salads, cocktails, desserts etc[msntongue]

We also always try and visit the Amish restaurants (never found any in the Orlando area) however there are a few around Sarasota. Our favourite is Sugar & Spice in Sarasota. One of the best meals we ever had in Florida[clap][clap]

Having just come back from Florida why not try a new steakhouse on the US-192. The Colarado House of Beef opened a week last Friday and is very nice. Steak well prepared and tasty, very attentive and better than average waiting staff.

There are a couple of bonus things as well at the moment - being new they have 15% discount vouchers in most of the coupon books and as they are already no more expensive than other steak places this is a bonus and also as they did not yet have their alcohol license the beers/wines were free. I know this won't last long but anyone out their now or just about to go may well take adbvantage whilst you can.

For a special treat, try Kobe Japanese Steakhouse. They cook on an in-built grill right on your table, which seats 10. If you are in a smaller group, they will match groups to fill a table. You will have your own Japanese Chef and your steak or seafood will be cooked in front of you. You can also upgrade any steak for about $5.00 to fillet, which I would recommend.

Prices range from $10.95 for chicken to $26.95 for lobster. Meals are served with onion soup, green salad, rice and pasta along with grilled vegetables which are a combination of mushrooms, squash, onion and bean sprouts sprinkled with sesame seeds, all complemented by their own seasoning and exotic sauces. Families are welcome and booking is recommended. There is a children's menu for about $5.95 but if the children are very young, they can share some of yours as the portions are plentiful.

We ensure we include this restaurant everytime we visit!

For a FAMILY STYLE BBQ Restaurant with plentiful food portions, visit Sonny's BBQ on Hwy 27. Great value and family meals available with chicken, pork and rib platters, garlic bread, cole slaw, BBQ beans, french fries and refillable soft drinks included. Take away also available. Try and beans and if you like them, make sure you order extra as they are simply fantasic. Country atmosphere with bench type seating. Highchairs available. They also have special nights for all you can eat ribs etc. Usually on a weekday.
No need to book; dress is very casual - shorts, tee shirts etc.
    Visit www.sonnysbbq.com for more information.

The closest restaurant we know of is on Hwy 27. Turn left out of Hampton Lakes, pass the Wal-mart at Southern Dunes, and continue for a couple more miles. It will be on your right.
    Worth the trip!
