I just read a quote on here 'Go to MK on tues thu or sun when it is usually less busy'.
In my guide book it rates MK on tue as average but quiet on wed.
Is wed this year one of the early opening days that i hear should be avoided.

The extra hours at MK are on Wednesday evening at the moment. I guess that means it will get busier towards the end of the day.
Don't forget Disney only give a schedule 3 months in advance with the proviso that it can change anytime.
I have never found the extra magic hours, as they are called make much difference. Its always a great day to be in MK.
I would say that MK is the busiest out of the Disney Parks but you will get quiet days as said earlier. Apparently Saturday nights are worth the trip just for the Firework display, never stayed that late ourselves to watch but I've been told well worth it.
Don't forget to arrive at MK by the boat![]()

A really good tip when going to the Magic Kingdom is to arrive before the park opens. There is an opening ceramony were Mickey and all his friends arrive on the train for work. Its really magical and you get to beat the queues initially on the big rides.

Well worth the early start!
I burst into tears on our last trip as our twins shouted "Mickey Ouse"
"Mickey Ouse" and pointed at the steam train"
This is the photo we took of it!

Aren't they cute? It must be lovely to have young children to take to the parks, seeing things through their eyes for the first time. Our children are much older and although they love the parks, we never were fortunate enough to be able to take them to Disney at an age when the magic would have been even more magical. I don't think they would appreciate a Snow White outfit to walk round in now!
Ah well, will just have to wait for grandchildren!

I'd avoid Monday, i remember reading it in a guide but ended up there anyway (wasn't paying attention) it was horrendous, last oct school hols. Most people arrive at the weekend so head there Monday, Don't be one of them[msnsad]

The 1st time we went my son was 5 he enjoyed every minute we were in the parks, but the minute we finished he wanted picking up and was asleep, we would carry him to the car, lift him out at the other end, undress him and put him to bed, he never knew a thing.

On our next trip in 3 weeks - we have planned to go to MK on the Saturday - our friends children have not been to Florida before and as the trip has been booked for almost a year we felt it unfair to keep them waiting any longer than necessary - we arrive in Fl on the thursday evening. I had read that Saturdays were not that bad (day time) due to it being a usual change over day for guests.
